Los Angeles, CA – After years of passion and preparation, Madomica is thrilled to announce that its first projects have officially entered production. These stories reflect a range of genres and ideas but share a common goal: to captivate audiences with compelling characters and unforgettable narratives.

“This moment has been a long time coming,” said Jake Sontag, Madomica’s CEO. “We’ve worked hard to develop these projects with creators who care deeply about their stories. To see them come to life now is both surreal and incredibly rewarding.”

Unraveling Minds in Sunset Stood Still

Among Madomica’s first ventures is Sunset Stood Still, a gripping psychological thriller series set against the backdrop of Los Angeles. It follows Terrance Taylor, an actor so committed to his role as a serial killer that the lines between performance and reality begin to blur.

What starts as dedication to his craft soon becomes a dangerous descent into dissociative identity disorder, as his alter ego—the imagined killer—takes on a life of its own. The show pairs moments of chilling suspense with raw emotional depth, exploring themes of obsession, identity, and the fragile boundaries of the human mind.

“Terrance’s story is as much about love as it is about fear,” said Sontag. “It’s about the people who try to save him as much as it’s about the darkness he faces within himself.”

The Cosmos Redefined in Planetary Demotion

In the biographical drama Planetary Demotion, Madomica steps into the world of science with a cinematic retelling of astronomer Mike Brown’s discovery of Eris, a celestial body that led to Pluto’s controversial reclassification.

This film dives into the drama surrounding the decision to redefine what qualifies as a planet, focusing not only on the science but also on the public and personal backlash Brown faced. Hate mail from elementary school students, media frenzy, and debates with fellow astronomers form the backdrop of a story that balances the grandeur of space with the challenges of being thrust into the spotlight.

At its core, Planetary Demotion is about balancing ambition with humanity. As Brown celebrates his professional triumphs, he’s also learning to navigate fatherhood and family life—a duality that adds warmth and relatability to a story of cosmic proportions.

A New Chapter in Storytelling

As production unfolds on Sunset Stood Still, Planetary Demotion, and all our additional upcoming projects, Madomica is setting a tone for the kind of stories we want to tell.

“These first projects are deeply personal,” Sontag said. “Each one comes from a place of curiosity and a desire to explore something meaningful, whether that’s the weight of identity or the ripple effects of discovery.”

Madomica isn’t focused on making noise but rather on making an impact. With these productions, the company is building the foundation for what it hopes will be a legacy of stories that entertain, challenge, and resonate with audiences.

Stay tuned as filming begins and these projects come closer to reaching their audiences. For Madomica, this is only the beginning—but what a beginning it is.
